I'm a diehard skeptic and gushing believer all rolled into one, but lately the magic that's been emanating from the universe is feeling so powerful to this curmudgeon she's just got to try to explain it. So the spirit, life force, soul if you will, within us all–human, beast, plant, rock, lake–goes on in some form. What I do not know. That is the magic.

And yes, the phone rings and most of the time, especially if my daughter or mother (who don't call everyday), I know who it is.

CatherineCatherinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11361090241108323002noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8333594380363882958.post-23333274028627483172009-02-15T14:28:00.000-08:002009-02-15T14:28:00.000-08:00Yes, exactly. A great parlor trick if only I could have harnessed the power of this magick.
There are other instances of "brushes with the supernatural" like this that I can recall. Many times in my past I phoned a close friend only to have him or her pick up the phone before the first ring and declare "Man! That's so weird! I was just getting ready to call YOU! Hey, uh,you got any pot?"
We both wrote it off as simply that THC induced Cosmic Connection. I usually prefer to motor along the Road of Science and attribute all these things to coincidence. Usually.
That road has an imaginary yellow line. It's ok to ride close to it, and even cross the yellow line for a bit, but who knows what might happen if you stay over there too long.
Sorry, gotta go. I think I see the latest "Skeptical Inquirer" poking out of the mailbox.gandhicramhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16126090872775832723noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8333594380363882958.post-49893511918990479332009-02-07T07:57:00.000-08:002009-02-07T07:57:00.000-08:00This comment has been removed by the author.gandhicramhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16126090872775832723noreply@blogger.com
